Highway 99, Stockton, CA <br /> To Whom It May Concern: <br /> This letter is submitted by Ground Zero Analysis, Inc. (Ground Zero), on behalf of the property <br /> owners of the above referenced address, to provide information concerning proposed interim <br /> groundwater remediation at the site. The site is located on the northeast comer of Foppiano and N. <br /> Highway 99 Eastern Frontage, approximately 1,000 feet north of Hammer Lane (Figure 1). <br /> Interested parties have two weeks from the date of this letter to submit comments to the California <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) at the following address: <br /> Mr. James L.L. Barton <br /> California Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> Central Valley Region <br /> 3443 Routier Road <br /> Sacramento, CA 95827-3098 <br /> An environmental assessment program, as required by the RWQCB and San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department .(EHD), was initiated by Ground Zero at the site in 1998 to <br /> investigate the presence, extent, and concentrations of chemicals in the soil and groundwater at the site <br /> resulting from a release of gasoline from underground storage tanks (USTs) formerly operated at the <br /> site. The data collected were assembled into a variety of reports describing the nature and extent of <br /> contamination at the'site. 'Investigations have determined that gasoline hydrocarbon constituents, <br /> incIuding MTBE, have been detected in groundwater beneath the site at elevated levels. In February <br /> 2003,EHD required that interim groundwater remediation be initiated at the site. <br /> PROPOSED INTERIM REMEDIATION <br /> The interim cleanup plan proposed for groundwater contamination at the site will consist of <br />
