This letter report summarizes the Third Quarter 2002 groundwater monitoring and sampling <br /> activities at the subject site (Figure 1) <br /> 1.0 SITE ACTIVITIES <br /> Activities at the site included removing free product from well MW 1, monitoring groundwater <br /> levels in all site wells, and purging and sampling groundwater from wells MW2 through <br /> MW9B <br /> 2.0 FIELD WORK <br /> 2.1 Free Product Measurement and Recovery <br /> As an interim remedial action, Ground Zero is actively bailing product from well MWl <br /> Since August 16, 2001, a total of approximately 84 0 gallons of product/water mixture has <br /> been extracted by manually bailing the well and transferring the liquid into a Department of <br /> Transportation (DOT) approved storage container <br /> A Ground Zero technician measured free product thickness, and removed approximately 24 5 <br /> gallons of product/water mixture from well MW1 during the reporting period The product <br /> • thickness varied between 2 04 feet on August 6, 2002 and 0 16 feet on September 12, 2002 <br /> The waste is being managed pursuant to 49 CFR part 172 and 40 CFR part 262 Table 1 <br /> G1DaWGROUNDZE\TULEBURG\Reports\Q]vM 3QM2002 doc <br />
