The report contained
a request for site closure with no further action. EHD and
CVRWQCB have the following comments and recommendations .
Closure cannot be granted at this time . Further
groundwater sampling will be required to demonstrate that
the soil contamination evidenced at the time of UST removal
does not impact ground water quality. A mass volume
calculation for the soil contamination left in place
beneath the former UST must be completed.
One ground water monitoring well has been installed near
the former USTs . To date, four quarterly ground water
monitoring and sampling events have occurred. Only three
of the quarterly groundwater results have been reported.
The above referenced report stated that the March 01, 2002,
the ground water sample was found to be contaminated and
the results were not reported. Please submit the
analytical results for the March 01, 2002 event and the
rationale for not including those results in a quarerly
report .
