Box 1196
Murphys, California 95247
SUBJECT: Data Report
Limited Soil Sampling and Analysis
Tank Removal at Victor Meat
18846 North State Highway 99
East Frontage Road
Lodi, California
Dear Mr. Middleton:
In accordance with your request and authorization, Kleinfelder has conducted soil sampling and
analyses beneath three former underground storage tanks (USTs) located at the subject site. The
three tanks at the subject site include one 8,000-gallon and one 12,000-ballon diesel/unleaded
fuel tanks and one 550-gallon waste oil tank. The San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Department Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) requested that the tanks be removed and
confirmation soil sampling be conducted beneath the tanks and product lines.
Kleinfelder conducted soil sampling activities following tank removals on August 17, 2000.
Attached are plates depicting the subject site and sampling locations (Plates 1 and 2), a summary
of the analytical results (Table 1), and a copy of the chain-of-custody and the laboratory
analytical results (Attachment B). The work was conducted as generally described in Attachment
A (Typical Kleinfelder Field Protocol) Section A-8 and in accordance with Kleinfelder's
proposal No. 20-YPO-242R, dated August lb, 2000. Deviations from Kleinfelder's proposal
resulted from the PHS/EHD request for additional discrete samples to be collected in the 12,000-
gallon UST stockpile, and near vent piping in the vicinity of the two larger tank areas.
Kleinfelder recommends that a copy of this report be submitted to the San Joaquin County Public
Health Services Department, Environmental Health Division and the State of California Central
Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board for their review.
20-2520-04.E01/2000R831 Page 1 of 3
Copyright 2000,Kleinfelder, Inc.
