Highway 99 <br /> Acarnpo, California ' <br /> Dear Ms. Lagorio: <br /> 4 <br /> As I indicated in our telephone conversation of March 3, 1993, enclosed please find a copy of 1 <br /> a report of confirmatory sampling done by Park Environmental on behalf of Mr. Calkins at the <br /> Acampo site. Park Environmental. was asked to take several samples of the stockpiled soil and <br /> water that had collected in the excavates[ pit so that we were able to develop some plan of action <br /> to obtain a clean closure of the site. <br /> Park Environmental's testing methodology, as well as the test results, are enclosed for your I <br /> review. Soil. samples showed non-detect for TPH-diesel to the detection level of 10 mg/kg. <br /> Water sample test results were non-detect at the method detection limit of 2 mg/l. <br /> You indicated that it would not be acceptable to use the stockpile soil to fill the excavation pit <br /> at this time unless sampling was done from the pit itself. You requested that one discrete sample <br /> be taken from each side of the pit, and two discreet samples be taken from the bottom of the pit. <br /> You indicated that your department wishes to oversee the sampling. Samples should be tested <br /> for TPN-diesel and BTEX. <br /> i <br />
