The second <br /> unit dwelling shall be attached whenever possible, especially on <br /> parcels less than ten thousand (10, 000) square feet. <br /> (f) Public Sewer and Water. In urban communities, both the proposed <br /> second unit dwelling and the existing single-family dwelling. The <br /> second unit dwelling shall be attached whenever possible, especially <br /> on parcels less than ten thousand (10, 000) square feet. <br /> (g) Other Codes. The second unit dwelling shall conform with all the <br /> requirements of Public Health Services and the County that are <br /> applicable to residential units in the zone in which the property is <br /> located. <br /> (h) Requirements for Mobilehomes. If the second unit dwelling is a <br /> mobilehome, the following additional requirements shall apply. <br /> (1) Additions. No permanent room additions shall be allowed, but <br /> patio covers constructed of the same materials as the <br /> mobilehome shall be permitted. <br /> (2) Skirting. Skirting constructed of the same materials as the <br /> mobilehome shall be installed. <br /> (3) Time Limit. The Second Unit Dwelling Permit shall be effective <br /> for not more than three (3) years. Applications for renewal <br /> shall follow the same procedures, be subject to the same <br /> requirements, and pay the same fees as a new application for a <br /> Second Unit Dwelling Permit, if the fee is received within 30 <br /> days of notification of renewal; however, if the fee is not <br /> paid within 30 days, the fee shall be double the original <br /> Second unit Dwelling Permit Fee. <br /> (i) The existing residence shall not be enlarged beyond 1200 square <br /> feet. <br /> BUILDING INSPECTION DIVISION <br /> 1. Obtain a mobilehome installation permit or if a permanent structure, <br /> secure the necessary building permits. <br /> PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES <br /> 1. Construct an individual sewage disposal system(s) under a permit and <br /> inspection by the Environmental Health Division at the time of <br /> development (Ordinance Code Section 9-1110. 3 & 1110. 4) . <br />
