The purpose of the groundwater monitoring wells is to determine the IT <br /> 10 r�,'v lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in groundwater and the direction and gradient of <br /> .�i G groundwater flow beneath the subject site. Upon review and written approval from the San <br /> �J✓15 �� „/y r Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division(County),this work plan <br /> 0 y►'� will be submitted to the UST Cleanup Fund(Fund)for pre-approval. Upon pre approval from <br /> the Fund,work will commence. <br /> The following describes the site background, scope of work, and time completion for a <br /> Z • P` � summary letter of the results of this work. <br /> Site Background <br /> A former 4,000 gallon underground storage(UST)was located approximately 50 feet west of <br /> the office building(Figure 1). Past inventory records reveal no fuel loss up to and including <br /> �,r p�/• February 17,1995. On February 20,1995,a 970 gallon release was detected during inventory <br /> monitoring.The remaining fuel was removed from the UST the same day as the release. <br /> ��� � The UST was removed by Johnson Petroleum Construction on March 29, 1995.
