i
San Joaquin County Public Health Services-Environmental Health Division
MEMO OF CALL
NAME.Richard Premzic DATE: December 8, 1995
FIRM., Leeward Consultants TIME:3:30 p.m.
PERSON TAKING or MAKING CALL: Diane M. Hinson
SITE CODE:
PHONE#:916/678-4253
SUBJECT: T& T Trucking-Compacting Excavation
MESSAGE:Mr. Premzic telephoned to verify compaction requirements for the tank excavation at the
above location. Mr. Premzic indicated that T& T Trucking had backfilled the tank excavation on their
own without benefit of an engineer's calculations or'report of finding.
Mr. Premzic stated that he made the owners aware;of the requirements of compaction, received
instructions from the building department(which unfortunately, still has the two options),and called
our office for confirmation
My comment was that if needed in the future, the excavation may have to be reopended and the
proper procedure for compaction performed. All of this would be done without benefit of cost
recovery from the State Water Resources Control Board because the decision to circumvent the
requirements was the owner's decision
i
I
i
I
{
i
