Hwy 99 Frontage Rd. <br /> Lodi, CA 95240 <br /> On September 23, 2009, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br /> Local Oversight Program staff and Mr. James Barton of the Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) met with you and your consultant, Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental Inc., to discuss the investigation and remediation status at your site. <br /> The EHD appreciates your concern for completing your investigation and remediation at the site <br /> and commends you for keeping your soil vapor extraction and insitu air sparging remediation <br /> systems active since reimbursement of your cleanup costs have been suspended by the State <br /> Water Resources Control Board Clean-Up Fund, but is concerned with the potential petroleum <br /> impact to the offsite, private drinking water wells. <br /> During the meeting, the closest well south (potentially down-gradient) was identified to be <br /> located at 11350 N. Highway 99 Frontage Road. The EHD requires that this well be sampled <br /> for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total <br /> xylenes (BTEX), and methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MtBE) prior to October 1, 2009. You agreed to <br /> take immediate steps to gain access to this well, have a ground water sample collected and <br /> analyzed and include the results of the laboratory analyses with the results of the laboratory <br /> analyses for a ground water sample from MW-1 in a quarterly monitoring report to be submitted <br /> to Geotracker before October 30, 2009. <br /> In addition, it was agreed that a schedule would be included in the quarterly report to be <br /> submitted by October 30, 2009, that provides the elate for submittal of a work plan to investigate <br /> the lateral and vertical extent of the contaminant plume (additional monitoring well installations) <br /> and a date for completion of the proposed work. <br /> You may contact Michael Infurna at (209) 468-3454 if you have any questions. <br /> Michael J.
