A minimum.of six soil borings will <br /> be advanced to a depth of 30.fect:.using a drill-rig equipped with,a push=point sampling. device .:. <br /> One of the six'borings'wilhbe continuously sampled to:a depth of 30 feet, and then sampled:at five- <br /> foot maximum.intervals to the first encounter`of ground water,or 50 feet,whichever is encountered <br /> fiisC.. The soils encountgre.d in each boring.will be'logged by afield geologist using the Unified <br /> Soils-Classification System. Soil'samp: s will be.coflected from the borings at five400t rnaximum .' <br /> intervals beginning,at,a depth-of ten feet,using,plastic one-..inch diameter sampling tubes..; Samples <br /> will be screened in'the-field with-a photoionization:detector:to'estimate the extent of hydrocarbon <br /> contamination.
