Mr Terry Tarditi <br /> July 25, 2006 <br /> Page 2 <br /> well (MW-3) The upgradlent delineation of the hydrocarbon impacted <br /> groundwater has been defined with MW-2, however,the downgradient impacted <br /> groundwater has traveled beyond MW-3 and MW-4 The vertical delineation of <br /> the groundwater has not been complete in the vicinity of MW-1 <br /> Remediation and mass removal efforts are the focus of activities in 2006, along <br /> with the required quarterly groundwater monitoring <br /> GROUNDWATER SAMPLE REQUIREMENTS <br /> Brown and Caldwell's Workplan for Quarterly Sampling of Monitoring Wells <br /> explains that each site monitoring well will be sampled and water levels will be <br /> measured quarterly In addition, the water supply well, located to the north of the <br /> tire shop, has been added to the quarterly sampling program A report <br /> summarizing these activities is due to PHS/EHD the month following the end of <br /> the previous quarter Samples are required to be analyzed for the following <br /> • constituents total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline ('TPH-g) by Environmental <br /> Protection Agency (EPA) method 8015 Modified, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, <br /> and xylene (BTEX),and oxygenates by EPA method 8260B PHS/EHD has also <br /> required 1,2-Dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) and 1,2-Dibromoethane (EDB) analysis <br /> by EPA method 8260B <br /> GROUNDWATER DISPOSAL <br /> Purge water from this sampling event was placed into drums and disposed of <br /> properly by T&T Trucking, Inc <br /> QUARTERLY RESULTS SUMMARY <br /> Historical groundwater elevation data is summarized in Table 1 Table 2 <br /> summarizes groundwater flow direction and gradient Table 3 summarizes the <br /> historical analytical results for petroleum hydrocarbon constituents Figure 2 <br /> presents the groundwater elevations for the second quarter Analytical results are <br /> presented for each well on Figure 3 A methyl-ternary-butyl ether (MtBE) <br /> isoconcentration map is presented in Figure 4 Field data sheets from the <br /> May 2006 quarterly groundwater sampling event are included in Attachment A <br /> Laboratory reports for the groundwater samples collected for these sampling <br /> events are included as Attachment B <br /> 1'\30000\13oo25 r&T rrucl ing GW Monitoring 2006\Reports\2nd 46gtr doc <br />
