Two additional ground water monitoring wells were
installed during this phase of investigation. The report summarizes
information from a past investigation, and includes analytical results
for one complete round of sampling. Based on the levels of hydrocarbon
contamination detected, four additional ground water monitoring wells
are proposed.
The proposed well locations appear adequate for this phase of
investigation. However, only the four new wells are proposed to be
sampled during this phase of investigation. We believe that all the new
and existing wells should be sampled. We also request that after
purging the wells the samples be taken with a bailer, rather than by
pumping, to assure that the samples are not being affected by the
polyvinylchloride tubing used in the pump.
If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 361-5731 .
THOMAS D. PELTIER
Engineering Geologist
TDP/tdp
