�1 Emcon Associates _ <br /> 1433 North Market Boulevard •`Socrdmento California'9583V 943 • (916)928-3300• Fax(916)928-3341 <br /> October 11, 1994 <br /> M Project 2520-100 01 <br /> Mr Jerry Moore <br /> Moore Petroleum, Inc <br /> P O Box 67 <br /> Banta, California 95304 <br /> Re Third Quarter 1994 Groundwater Monitoring Report, Frank's Exxon #4, <br /> 14800 West Frontage Road,Manteca,California,Federated Clain No. 83Z-159 <br /> Dear Mr Moore <br /> This letter report presents the results of the third quarter 1994 groundwater monitoring <br /> event for the Frank's Exxon #4 service station, located at 14800 West Frontage Road, <br /> Manteca, California (see Figure 1) Groundwater sampling for the third quarter 1994 <br /> monitoring event was conducted on September 2, 1994, by EMCON Associates <br /> (EMCON) consistent with the sampling and analysis procedures described in <br /> Attachment A <br /> • BACKGROUND <br /> The project site is located on the west side of State Highway 99, on the northern outskirts <br /> of Manteca, California, in a commercial/agricultural area Frank's Exxon #4 is an active <br /> service station Aegis Environmental (Aegis), now known as Fugro West, Inc , began <br /> quarterly groundwater monitoring at the site in January 1991 EMCON assumed quarterly <br /> monitoring activities in March 1994 <br /> Earth Treatment Systems, Inc , installed two groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 and <br /> MW-2) at the site in August 1988 Low concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons were <br /> detected in both groundwater and soil samples collected from MW-1 and MW-2 Delta <br /> Environmental Consultants, Inc , (Delta) installed wells MW-3 and MW-4 in April and <br /> May of 1989 Low to moderate concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons were detected <br /> in sod and groundwater samples collected from MW-3 and MW-4 Three 10,000-gallon <br /> underground fuel storage tanks were removed from the site in November 1989 Petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples collected from beneath the underground <br /> storage tanks and product lines Groundwater monitoring wells MW-5 through MW-8 <br /> were installed by Delta in November and December 1989, and well MW-9 was installed <br /> by Aegis in November 1991 Minimal impact to soil and groundwater was noted in the <br /> samples collected from wells MW-5 through MW-9 <br /> SAC/PJ2\252M201000 ldl 94 lfc 2 <br />
