The monitoring included collection of <br /> depth-to-groundwater measurements and water samples from eight wells (MW-1 through <br /> MW-4 and MW-6 through MW-9) located on site and one well (MW-5) located off site <br /> (Figure 2) This report is based, in part, on information obtained by Aegis from previous <br /> consultants and is subject to modification as newly acquired information may warrant <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The West Frontage Road site is occupied by an active service station and convenience <br /> store The station retails unleaded gasolines Details of the site's current facilities, <br /> including underground storage tanks, were reported to Moore Petroleum, Inc , by Aegis <br /> in a "Limited Subsurface Investigation Workplan," dated August 5, 1991 The project site <br /> is located on the west side of State Highway 99, on the northern outskirts of Manteca, <br /> California, in a commercial/agricultural area. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Work performed at the site by previous consultants included investigations by Earth <br /> Treatment Systems, Inc (ETS), of Merced, California, Delta Environmental Consultants, <br /> Inc. (Delta), of Rancho Cordova, California, and Nations Groundwater Associates of <br /> Sacramento, California In August 1988, groundwater monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-2 <br /> were installed by ETS In April and May 19 , Delta installed wells MW-3 and MW-4 In <br /> 0, 89November 1989, Delta conducted soil sampling during the removal of three 10,000-gallon <br /> 90-097E QMR <br /> GEOLOGISTS • ENGINEERS • GROUNDWATER SCIENTISTS <br />
