Second Quarter 1996 Groundwater Monitormg&Remediation Status Report Moore Petroleum, 14800 W Frontage Rd,Manteca,CA August 7,1996 ' Page 2 GROUNDWATER MONITORING ' !Groundwater Le els On May 16, 1996,Apex personnel collected groundwater-level measurements from monitoring ' wells MW-1 through MW-9 (Figure 2) All groundwater elevations were measured to the nearest 0 01 foot,referenced to the surveyed top-of-casing elevations and conducted according to the ' Apex Standard Operating Procedures(SOP)included as Appendix A Liquid-level measurements collected since April 1992 are summarized in Table 1 Figure 3 is a potentrometrfe surface map of the shallow water-bearing zone on May 16, 1996 ' Groundwater-Sampling and Analysis On May 16, 1996,Apex personnel collected groundwater samples from all nine monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-9) and the station's domestic well(DM-1) The samples were submitted, under chain-of-custody,to Sparger Technology, Inc, of Sacramento, California, a state-certified analytical laboratory All samples were collected according to the Apex SOP included in Appendix A The groundwater samples collected on May 16, 1996, from the nine monitoring wells and the domestic well were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons(TPH), as gasoline, ' benzene,toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes(BTEX)by EPA Method 8020/8015 Groundwater samples collected from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4 and DM-1 were ' analyzed for TPR as diesel by EPA Method 8015 Modified The groundwater samples collected from MW-1 through MW-5 were analyzed for 1,2 Dichloroethane(EDC)by EPA Method 601 -The groundwater sample collected from MW-5 was analyzed for methyl-tert-butyl-ether(MTBE) by EPA Method 8020 The results of this sampling event are summarized in Table 2 On April 23, 1996, Apex personnel collected a groundwater sample from the domestic well(DM- 1)located on site The sample was submitted,under chain-of-custody,to Sparger Technology, Inc , of Sacramento, California, a state-certified analytical laboratory The sample was collected accordmg to the Apex SOP included in Appendix A The groundwater sample collected on April ' 23, 1996 was analyzed for EDC by EPA Method 601 The results of this samphng event are included in Table 2 The most recent laboratory analytical reports and sham-of-custody forms are included in Appendix B 1
