First Quarter 1996 Groundwater Monitormg&Remediation Status Report <br /> ' Moore Petroleum, 14800 W Frontage Rd,Manteca,CA <br /> April 24, 1996 <br /> Page 2 <br /> ' Monitoring Report," dated April 14, 1995, submitted to Moore Petroleum by Emcon <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> Groundwater Levels <br /> On February 15 1996, Apex personnel ersonnel collected groundwater-level measurements from <br /> monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-9 (Figure 2) All groundwater elevations were measured to <br /> tthe nearest 0 01 foot, referenced to the surveyed top-of-casing elevations and conducted <br /> according to the Apex Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) included as Attachment 1 Liquid- <br /> level measurements collected since May 1995 are summarized in Table 1 Historical water levels <br /> ' are included in Attachment 2 Figure 3 is a potentiometric surface map of the shallow water- <br /> bearing zone on February 15, 1996 <br /> ' Groundwater Sampling and Analysis <br /> On February 15, 1996, Apex personnel collected groundwater samples from all nine morutoring <br /> wells (MW-1 through MW-9) The samples were submitted, under chain-of-custody, to Sparger <br /> Technology, Inc , of Sacramento, California, a state-certified analytical laboratory All samples <br /> ' were collected according to the Apex SOP included in Attachment 1 The groundwater samples <br /> collected on February 15, 1996 from the nine monitoring wells were analyzed for total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons (TPH), as gasoline, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX) <br /> ' Groundwater samples collected from monitoring wells MW-i through MW-4 were analyzed for <br /> both TPH, as diesel, and 1,2 Dichloroethane (EDC) The groundwater sample collected from <br /> MW-5 was analyzed for EDC also Groundwater samples collected from monitoring wells MW-5 <br /> ' through MW-9 were analyzed for methyl-tert-butyl-ether (MTBE) by method 8020 and 8260 <br /> The results of this sampling event are summarized in Table 2 <br /> On March 19, 1996, Apex personnel collected groundwater samples from monitoring wells MW- <br /> 5 through MW 9 and the domestic well supplying the station(DM-1) as per San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Division request The samples were submitted, under chain-of-custody, to <br /> Sparger Technology, Inc, of Sacramento, California, a state-certified analytical laboratory All <br /> samples were collected according to the Apex SOP included in Attachment 1 The groundwater <br /> samples collected on March 19, 1996 were analyzed for EDC The sample collected from DM-1 <br /> ' was additionally analyzed for TPH, as gasoline, TPH, as diesel, BTEX, and MTBE by 8020 and <br /> 8260 The results of this sampling event are included in Table 2 Historical analytical results are <br /> included in Attachment 2 The most recent laboratory analytical reports and chain-of-custody <br /> forms are included in Attachment 3 <br />
