• Closure Monitoring Report <br /> Moore Petroleum,Inc, 14800 West Frontage Road,Manteca,California <br /> Page 3 <br /> Operating Procedures (SOP) included as Appendix B Groundwater level measurements are <br /> summarized in Table 1 Figure 3 is a potentiometric surface map of the shallow water-bearing <br /> zone at the site on November 21, 1997 <br /> Groundwater and Domestic Well Sampling and Analysis <br /> On November 21, 1997, Apex personnel collected groundwater samples from monitoring wells <br /> MW-1 through MW-8, the newly installed domestic well at the site(DM-1) and the domestic well <br /> located at the trailer park (DM-2) south of the site (Figure 2) All samples were collected <br /> according to the SOP included as Appendix B All samples were submitted under chain-of- <br /> custody <br /> hain-ofcustody documentation, to California Laboratory Services of Rancho Cordova, California, a state- <br /> certified analytical laboratory Groundwater samples collected from MW-1 through MW-4, DM- <br /> 1 and DM-2 were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons, as gasoline (TPHg) and diesel <br /> (TPHd) by EPA Method 8015, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX) by EPA <br /> Method 8020, and 1,2 dichloroethane (DCE) by EPA Method 601 The samples collected from <br /> MW-5 through MW-8 were analyzed for TPHg and BTEX The samples collected from MW-5 <br /> were also analyzed for DCE In addition, all samples were analyzed for the five oxygenates <br /> (MTBE, DIPE, ETBE, TAME and TBA) by EPA Method 8260 The analytical results are <br /> . summarized in Table 2 The laboratory analytical results report and chain-of-custody form are <br /> included as Appendix C <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Historically, the subject site had non-detect or near-detection-limit petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> concentrations in groundwater monitoring wells Both domestic wells on and off site have <br /> hydrocarbons, oxygenates and halogenated organics below standard detection limits In addition, <br /> the confirmation soil boring samples collected on August 29, 1997 also had hydrocarbons below <br /> detection limits Apex believes the subject site has achieved its subsurface cleanup goals <br /> Therefore, Apex recommends closure for the site <br /> • <br /> JY D 1 PROJECTIE'STRA02 009-Moore Petroleum,Manteca\QMRI 1971QMRI 197 doc <br /> i <br />
