AGE-NC-95-0140 <br /> Site Health and Safety Plan <br /> Page 2 of 6 <br /> 3.0. ON-SITE CONTROL <br /> Tim Cuellar has been designated to coordinate access control and security onsite. A safe perimeter <br /> has been established at 20 feet around probing. No unauthorized person should be within this <br /> exclusion area. <br /> 4.0. HAZARD EVALUATION <br /> The following substance(s) or hazards are known or suspected to be on site. <br /> Substances Involved: Concentrations: <br /> Gasoline unknown <br /> BTE&X unknown <br /> Diesel(?) unknown <br /> The primary hazards of each are identified as follows: <br /> 1. Hydrocarbon fuels-Components of fuels are colorless liquids with strong aromatic petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon-like odors. They are flammable and have low solubility in water. Exposure to <br /> these materials in excess of recommended exposure limits can cause mild eye, nose, and <br /> throat irritation and can produce a narcotic effect on the central nervous system. Symptoms <br /> of exposure at these concentrations include headache, nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, and loss <br /> of coordination. Certain components of gasoline (BTE&X etc.) are known or suspected <br /> carcinogens. <br /> The following additional hazards are expected on site: typical work related to facility. Noise, falling <br /> rods, flying hammer, snapped cables etc. on the drill rig (if applicable). <br /> 5.0. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT <br /> Based on evaluation of potential hazards, the following levels of personal protection have been <br /> designated for the applicable work areas or task: <br />
