REVISED MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION NVORK PLAN <br /> McDonald Island Dump Site <br /> III Zuckerman Road (McDonald Island) <br /> Stockton, California <br /> March 1995 <br /> 1:.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Zuckerman-Mandeville, Inc. (Z,%1I), Geological Audit <br /> Services, Inc. (GeoAudit) has prepared this Revised Monitoring Well Installation Work <br /> Plan. The revised Work PIan includes the i:astallation of three monitoring, wells at the <br /> former McDonald Island Dump Site located on McDonald Island in San Joaquin County, <br /> California. (the site). This Work Plan was prepared pursuant to requirements of the Clean <br /> Cosure flan (CCP) for the site. The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1. A plan <br /> of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1 Site Location <br /> The site is located on Hennaing Tract of McDonald Island in San Joaquin County. McDonald <br /> Island is located with in the area designated as the San Joaquin Delta_ McDonald Island is <br /> used primarily for agricultural purposes; surrounding land use is also primarily agricultural. <br /> 2.2 Site History <br /> It is our understanding that the site was used as a garbage dump for farming operations <br /> foIlowin; a flood of the that <br /> in 1982. Garbage and household waste frown the nearby farm <br /> worker living quarters was also disposed at the site. The garbage occasionally burned and <br /> was subseque-wly buried. Common waste found at the site included wood scraps,sheet metal <br /> scraps, oil filters, agricultural waste, aerosol cans, newspaper, batteries and other common <br /> household trash, <br /> 2.3 Clean Closure Plan and Cleanup Report. <br /> Falcon Energy Associates (FEA) was retained by ZN1I to remove all debris and garbage <br /> from the dump site. A CCP ("Clean Closure Plan - McDonald Island Site" dated June 3, <br /> 1993)was prepared by FRA prior to initiation of the cleanup.
