of used bsorbent, serviced by Safety Kleen, lacking a <br /> hazardous waste label. <br /> Mr. Trev na and I then walked through one of the processing <br /> areas wh re we viewed two of the Safety Kleen stations. Mr. <br /> Hancock 'nformed Mr. Trevena and me that TVG utilizes a <br /> maximum f 8 and a minimum of 3 of these stations depending <br /> on the s ason. <br /> We then proceeded to the hazardous waste storage area. This <br /> recently remodeled building houses both product and waste <br /> storage. In the vicinity of the storage area we noted a <br /> drum of azardous waste with no label, a secondary <br /> containme t bin holding drums of hazardous waste where both <br /> the bin a d the drums lacked an accumulation date, and one <br /> drum of u ed oil filters with an expired accumulation date <br /> of 1/92 . <br /> This conc uded our physical inspection of the facility, and <br /> we depart d at approximately 2 : 00 p.m. <br /> Mr. Treve a and I arrived on May 28, 1993 , at approximately <br /> 9 : 30 a.m. We met with Mr. Jeff Wong and Mr. Bob Bennett, <br /> and recei ed permission to perform our hazardous waste <br /> paperwork review. Mr. Trevena and I were escorted to the <br /> laborator at the facility where all the applicable <br /> documenta ion was available for inspection. <br /> In the co rse of the manifest review, Mr. Trevena and I <br /> noted tha many of the manifests lacked either the Land <br /> Disposal estriction notification or the returned copy from <br /> the Treat ent, Storage, Disposal facility, or both. We <br /> indicated to Mr. Wong that it is necessary to retain both of <br /> these doc ments for each shipment. <br /> Mr. Trevepa reviewed the contingency plan, where he noted <br /> that one of the listed emergency contacts was no longer <br /> applicable. This was pointed out to Mr. Wong, and he <br /> indicatedlthey were in the process of updating the plan. <br /> Mr. Trevena also reviewed the employee training records. <br /> We concluded our review of the paperwork at approximately <br /> 12 : 00 p.m, , and left the premises at that time. <br /> On July 2 , 1993 , we arrived at VFC at 9 : 15 a.m. to complete <br /> the hazar ous waste generator inspection for the complete <br /> site. We first met with Mr. Jeff Wong at TVG who <br /> accompanied us to VFC. Upon arrival at VFC we met Mr. Neil <br /> Cast, who was identified to us as the Branch Manager, Mr. <br /> Paul Kennedy, General Manager of VFC, and Mr. Chris Savage, <br /> Supervisor Environmental Services for TVG.
