Chlorine leaked at the flow meter that <br /> was being repaired and the electrician was exposed to the <br /> chlorine and had difficulty breathing and was brought to the <br /> hospital . Two other employees near the area were also exposed to <br /> chlorine at a lesser degree and were also brought to the hospital <br /> for observation and have been released. <br /> It is difficult to estimate the amount released. It is <br /> estimated that chlorine was released for around three minute <br /> before the main chlorine valve was shut . <br /> Evacua ion was not required since the chlorine was confined <br /> to the area near the leak. <br /> Notifications were made to the following agencies : <br /> 1 .
