Ullion _ __ .ric Waste Oil Tank Assessment, TNKO -v-0 (2009) <br />Secondary Ca ntainment Design: <br />The tank is a s aled dike tank so the 25 year event does not apply. The tank <br />volume is 3000 gallons. The dike volume is 3500 gallons. The interceptor oil <br />draw pump, filt r and plumbing are contained by a secondary containment tray <br />which drains b ck to the interceptor. All piping outside of the secondary <br />containment is elded with the exception of the waste oil drain valve which is <br />flanged. The te nk is fitted with three methods of overfill protection, barometric <br />leg, ball float VE nt and high level sensor with pump shut off. <br />The top of the t nk that is exposed is inspected daily and is welded. This meets <br />the same acceptance criteria as welded steel pipe. <br />Secondary Conjainment <br />The containment was inspected and found to be dry. Visual inspection showed <br />only surface rus ing of the containment dike and primary tank. <br />Secondary Cor tainment findings: The secondary containment system' of <br />sufficient capaci y and condition for the containment of releases from all t ks <br />and ancilla equipment.
