Union Pacific
cont ined in local topographic lows.
Facility Sign ficant undiked oil use areas at the yard drain to the
Drainage sepa tion plant through the yard drainage system or to
Desc: local opographic lows. Drainage within the WWTP (IW -1) is
by ov rland flow back to the oil trap. The majority of the
diesel shop area (VM1-4) drains into the industrial sewer
towar the separation plant. Drainage entering the yard
syste flows by gravity to the sump north of the diesel shop
area. float gauge automatically activates the sump pump
to pu p the accumulated liquids to the WWTP plant. Some
drain ge on the southeast side of the shop building flows to
the to al low sump and is also directed to the WWTP plant.
Drain ge at the plant is directed to the oil trap and oil is
skim ed off and pumped into the used oil tank (TNKO-
0295). Waste water is pumped through the main process
pump to system treatment. Sludge is accumulated in the
sludge tank (TNKO-0294) and then properly disposed.
Hazardous Hazar ous materials used at the site are limited to a 5
Material gallon ontainer of gasoline which fuels the portable high
Desc: pressu a steam cleaner.
Hazardous Used it is considered hazardous waste in California and is
Waste Desc: accum lated in Tank TNKO-0295. Process sludge some
meets he hazardous waste criteria. It is stored in tank
TNKO- 294. No other hazardous wastes are routinely
genera ed at this facility.
Containment The se aration plant area slopes down to the oil trap,
Structures where ccumulated liquids are recycled through the
Desc: separat on plant.
Security Lightin .
