In letters dated July 30,
1999, you were notified by the EHD that you were a responsible party to this site, and that
the Work Plan, Preliminary Site Investigation dated July 13, 1999, submitted on your
behalf by Geological Technics Inc. to begin the site investigation was approved for
implementation.
The approved work plan has never been implemented. In follow-up correspondences the
EHD again notified you of the approval of the work plan and directed that a drilling permit
application and fees were to be submitted and that the work was to be scheduled. A
meeting was scheduled to discuss your failure to comply with regulatory directives on April
17, 2000, and you did not appear for the meeting so the site was referred to the San
Joaquin County District Attorneys office for enforcement action. To date the EHD has
received no response from you on any of these actions.
The EHD is directing you to implement the approved scope of work. Please proceed with
submittal of a San Joaquin County Well Permit Application, required $89.00 permit fee,
$294 permit inspection fee and with scheduling the approved work. If the EHD has not
received the permit and fees prior to April 30, 2008, and been notified that the work is
scheduled to be completed prior to June 30, 2008, this site may be referred to the
Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region (CVRWQCB) for
enforcement action.
If you have any questions please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
I Is
Lori Duncan, REHS Margaret Lagorio, REHS !!
Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist Program Coordinator 1
c: James Barton, CVRWQCB, 11020 Sun Center Drive#200, Rancho Cordova CA 95670
