Quik Stop Station No.076 V February 8, 1999
Stockton California Tank Closure Report
Total Lead: Low concentrations of total lead between 5.7 ppm and 5.9 ppm were
detected in the native soils beneath former UST T-2. These concentrations are
considered to be within background levels normally found in the native soils in the
vicinity of the site.
Soil Disposal
Approximately 607 tons of soil were transported under Non-Hazardous Waste Manifests to
the Forward Landfill facility in Manteca, California for recycling. Copies of the Non-
Hazardous Waste Manifests are included in Attachment B.
Conclusions
Based on the nondetectable concentrations of TPHg and the nondetectable to low
concentrations of BTEX and MTBE detected during this investigation, it is our opinion that
no additional environmental work related to the former USTs is necessary at this site.
Limitations
The methods and procedures utilized for this work are the generally-accepted standards of
the practice of geology and environmental science in California at the time of the
investigation. This site investigation was conducted solely for the purpose of evaluating soil
conditions adjacent to former UST locations with respect to gasoline-related hydrocarbons.
No soil engineering or geotechnical references are implied nor should any such references be
inferred. The evaluation of geological , conditions at the site, for purposes of this
investigation, was made utilizing a limited number of observation points. Subsurface
conditions may vary some distance away from the available observation points. This report
is the property of Horizon Environmental Inc. and Quik Stop Markets Inc. for their use and
distribution.
Distribution
We recommend a copy of this report be forwarded to:
Ms- Letitia Briggs
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
304 E.
