• 4 CHRONOLOGY Quik Stop Station No. 076 1030 South Olive Avenue Stockton, California 95215 10/29/98 Date that two 10,000-gallon gasoline underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the site under permit issued by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD). 03/26/01 Date the EHD filed Unauthorized Release Form (URF) No. 01-U07 after laboratory analytical results revealed petroleum hydrocarbon contamination in soil samples collected beneath the former USTs. 03/27/01 Date the EHD filed Notification of Hazardous Waste Discharge No. 01 —016. 09/27/01 Date of letter from the EHD informing the responsible party of his/her responsibility to perform corrective action, and the placement of the site into the Local Oversight Program (LOP). 11/12/01 Date of Work Plan for Soil and Groundwater Investigation submitted by Horizon Environmental Inc. proposing the advancement of three on-site soil borings to evaluate the vertical and lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination in soil and groundwater. 05/23/02 Date that Caine soil samples were collected at 25, 60, and 65 feet below surface grade (bsg) from three soil borings (SB-1 through SB-3) in addition to the collection of three grab groundwater samples. Contaminants of concern (including total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) quantified as gasoline (TPHg), benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), and methyl tertiary- butyl ether (MTBE)] were not detected in the nine soil samples but TPHg, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes were detected in grab groundwater samples collected from all three borings and MTBE was detected in grab groundwater samples collected from SB-1. 06/25/02 Date of Results of Soil and Groundwater Investigation prepared by Horizon Environmental Inc. for work performed in May 2002. 04/22/03 Date of Work Plan for Additional Groundwater Investigation submitted by Horizon Environmental Inc. that proposed the installation of one monitoring well to confirm the groundwater analytical results from S-1 through SB-3 and performance of a sensitive receptor survey within a two-thousand-foot radius of the site. 07/03/03 Date that monitoring well MW-1, screened between 55 and 75 feet bsg, was installed on-site.
