Canepa's Car Wash Downtown November 2013 <br /> 248 East Park Street, Stockton <br /> Claim No: 1695 <br /> ATTACHMENT 3: PREVIOUS RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> February 2008, this case has been open since 1990 and no remediation has been performed. The <br /> Fund recommends the Responsible Party assess remedial technologies and implement active <br /> remediation without delay. In addition, it should be noted that existing well screens are positioned <br /> 20 feet below the water table and the Responsible Party should consider installing additional <br /> appropriately screened wells to determine if adequate site assessment has been conducted. The <br /> Fund will review this site next year to track progress. <br /> UPDATED, April 2009, this site has been under investigation for 18 years and no remediation has <br /> been conducted. The Fund recommends that remedial technologies are assessed and active <br /> remediation begin without delay. The Fund will review this site next year to track progress. <br /> UPDATED, March 2010, the San Joaquin County LOP directed the Responsible Party to conduct a <br /> dual phase extraction pilot test. The Fund concurs and will review this site next year to track <br /> progress. <br /> UPDATED, February 2011, reimbursement by the Fund is up to date. This site has been under <br /> investigation for 19 years and no active remediation has been conducted. The Fund recommends <br /> that the San Joaquin County LOP require that the Responsible Party begin active remediation <br /> without delay. <br /> UPDATED, January 2012, the Fund concurs with the San Joaquin County LOP that the <br /> Responsible Party must begin active remediation without delay to achieve water quality objectives <br /> in a timely manner. <br /> Page 11 of 13 <br />
