F
. • i
Pacific Car Wash page 2
4405 Pacific Ave, Stockton.
In addition, you are required to continue to investigate the lateral and vertical extents of
the groundwater plume. Additional deeper-screened monitoring wells are to be placed in
areas where shallow-screened monitoring wells indicate that groundwater petroleum
contaminants exceed allowable limits for being left in place untreated. Additional
monitoring wells are to be installed in areas where existing peripheral area monitoring
wells indicate petroleum contamination is detected. A work plan for these well
installations is due at EHD within 60 days.
A domestic well may be located near the site and its presence should be verified
immediately. If it is present, EHD will require it to be sampled also. Please advise EHD
immediately of the well's status and if you are unable to obtain the owner's approval to
sample it.
EHD understands that you have recently acquired the adjacent parcel of land to the
north in preparation for expansion of your business. As EHD is included in parcel
development/plan review on contaminated sites with the City of Stockton, it would be
prudent for you to ensure that future development of your business does not interfere
with, and provides for, the UST-related release remedial system operation and design.
Please check with Mr. Infurna before the 'groundwork blueprints' for your expanding
business are finalized. Subsurface remedial piping and conduits could be installed
before your final ground finishing materials are applied.
EHD thanks you for your continuing cooperation with your UST investigation. In the past
EHD has allowed substantial periods of time to elapse between investigational
requirements. Unfortunately the groundwater sampling data indicates that the petroleum
plume is expanding and your immediate and proactive actions are now required.
Please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Infurna or Mr. Henderson if you have any questions
or wish to discuss the site. You may call Mr. Infuma at (209) 468-3454 or email him at
minfurnaasicehd.com. Mr. Henderson can be contacted at (209) 468-3436.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
EnvironmentalHealDi ' i
9
Michael J. Infurna Jr., Se for REHS Nuel C.
