i <br /> Work Plan Addendum - June 1998 <br /> PACIFIC CAR WASH Lal I <br /> 4405 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California <br /> bX <br /> L0. m"fRODUC7rION <br /> In accordance with the request of Ms. Lila Billbeimer, Chief Executor for the Estate of J.C. <br /> Shaighnessy,Advmced MEnvinummataL Inc (AGE) baspmpared this Work Plan Addendum for <br /> the installation of at least four ground water monitoring wells at 4405 Pacific Avenue; Stockton, <br /> California The objective of tats investigation is to assess the impact of petroleum hydrocarbons at <br /> the site. The scope of work for this investigation includes the advancement of at least three single. <br /> completed two-inch dimmer ground water monitoring wells and one dual•completed two-inch <br /> diameter ground water monitoring well. However, additional monitoring wells may be required to <br /> adequately define the lateral and vertical extent of hydrocarbon-impacted soil and/or ground water. <br /> The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 . A plan of the site is illustrated onFigure2. <br /> This Work Plan Addendum is prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST) <br /> sites. <br /> 20. BACKGROUND <br /> 2. 1 . SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is located at 4405 Pacific Avenue. on the northwest comer of the intersection of Bianchi <br /> Road and Pacific Avenue. The site is located in an area of low topographic relief at an elevation <br /> between 10 and 15 feet above mean sea level in the City of Stockton, San Joaquin County, <br /> California. The site is within the northeast quarter of Section S. Township 2 North, Range 6 East, <br /> Mount Diablo Base and Meridian (Stockton West Quadrangle, 7.5-Minute USGS Topographic <br /> Series, 1968, photo revised 1987). <br /> A full service ezrwash with gasoline dispensing facilities has been located on the site since 1968. <br /> Two I 2,000-gallon gasoline USTs, and one 6,000-gallon gasoline UST are presently located at the <br /> site. <br /> 2—2. INITIAL INVESTIGATION <br /> In October and November 1991, nine shallow soil borings were advanced at the site to determine <br /> the extent of petroleum hydrocarbon compounds beneath the fuel distribution network area <br /> Hydrocarbon-impacted soil was detected in samples collected from depths of approximately 5 in IS <br /> SCAN JOAQU CC3UNTY <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION <br /> 304 E.
