BACKGROUND <br /> 2 1 SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is located at 4405 Pacific Avenue, on the northwest corner of the intersection of Bianchi <br /> Road and Pacific Avenue The site is located in an area of low topographic ielief at an elevation <br /> between 10 and 15 feet above mean sea level in the City of Stockton San Joaquin County, <br /> California The site is within the northeast quarter of Section 5, Township 2 North, Range 6 East, <br /> Mount Diablo Base and Meridian (Stockton West Quadrangle, 7 5-Minute USGS Topographic <br /> Series, 1968. photo revised 1987) <br /> A full service carx%ash with gasoline dispensing facilities has been located on the site since 1968 <br /> TNNo 12,000-gallon gasoline USTs, and one 6,000-gallon gasoline UST are presently located at the <br /> site <br /> 22 INITIAL INVESTIGATION <br /> In October and November 1991, nine shallow soil borings were advanced at the site to determine <br /> the extent of petroleum hydrocarbon compounds beneath the fuel distribution network area <br /> Hydrocarbon-impacted soil was detected in samples collected from depths of approximately 5 to 15 <br /> Advanced GeoEnvirenmental,Inc <br />
