INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Jerry Castro of Pacific Car Wash,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) <br /> has prepared this work plan addendum for cone penetrometer testing (CPT) for the site located at <br /> 4405 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1, a plan <br /> of the site is Illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> The purpose of the proposed Investigation is to delineate the vertical and horizontal extent of <br /> dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons and to characterize the geological and hydro-geological <br /> framework on and off-site This work plan provides a description of the scope of work and <br /> procedures for CPT soil boring advancement and grab ground water sample collection and analysis <br /> On 22 March 1997,the San Joaquin County Public Health Services-Environmental Health Division <br /> (PHS-EHD) directed by letter that the vertical extent of petroleum contamination be defined in both <br /> soil and ground water at the site This work plan is prepared in accordance with California Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage <br /> tanks (UST) sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at 4405 Pacific Avenue, on the northwest corner of the Intersection of Bianchi <br /> Road and Pacific Avenue The site is located in an area of low topographic relief at an elevation <br /> between 10 and 15 feet above mean sea level in the City of Stockton, San Joaquin County, <br /> California The site is within the northeast quarter of Section 5, Township 2 North, Range 6 East, <br /> Mount Diablo Base and Meridian (Stockton West Quadrangle, 7 5-Minute USGS Topographic <br /> Series, 1968, photo revised 1987) <br /> 21 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> A full service carwash with gasoline dispensing facilities has been located on the site at least since <br /> 1968 One 20,000-gallon gasoline UST is currently located on the north section of the site <br /> 2 1 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> One 6,000-gallon gasoline UST and two 12,000-gallon gasoline USTs,dispensers and product piping <br /> were removed from the site on 18 February 1999 under PHS-EHD and City of Stockton Fire <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmentai,Inc <br />
