Subsurface InveshPation and Well Installation Resort <br /> ARCO Facility No 6100 <br /> Tracy, California <br /> • Page 9 � <br /> • Soil borings drilled down-dip from ARCO's USTs and dispenser islands (along <br /> the southeast property boundary) did not encounter concentrations of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons, with the exception of well boring MW-2 <br /> • Groundwater in well MW-2 (the only newly installed well with recharging <br /> groundwater) contained only low concentrations of dissolved TPHG and benzene <br /> • Groundwater was not encountered beneath the site at depths that definitively <br /> show a source for water observed in well MW-1 <br /> • Fuel oxygenates in the subsurface appear to be adequately characterized <br /> Based on the results of this investigation, additional assessment of the dissolved TPHG <br /> and benzene in groundwater and the floating product observed in well MW-1 is <br /> warranted, and should be directed in the area down-dip (southeast) of the site <br /> LIMITATIONS <br /> This report was prepared in general accordance with accepted standards of care that <br /> existed at the time this work was performed No other warranty, expressed or implied, is <br /> made Conclusions and recommendations are based on field observations and data <br /> obtained from this work and previous investigations It should be recognized that <br /> definition and evaluation of geologic conditions is a difficult and inexact art Judgments <br /> leading to conclusions and recommendations are generally made with incomplete <br /> knowledge of the subsurface conditions More extensive studies may be performed to <br /> reduce uncertainties This report is solely for the use of our client unless otherwise noted <br /> • <br /> P 1ARC0161001REPORTS16100-well install report doc <br />
