Date February 28, 2002 <br /> ARCO QUARTERLY STATUS REPORT <br /> Facility No 6100 Address 25775 Patterson Pass Road, Tracy, CA <br /> ARCO Environmental Engineer Paul Supple <br /> Consulting Co/Contact Person Delta Environmental Consultants, Inc /Jay R Johnson <br /> Consultant Project No D000-340-1 <br /> Primary Agency/Regulatory ID No Margret Lagono, San Joaquin County Public Health Serivices <br /> BRIEF HISTORY <br /> Four gasoline UST's, one waste oil UST, and associated product piping were removed in 1987 Between <br /> 1991 and 1995 a total of 31 soil borings were drilled to depths between 26 and 115 feet below ground <br /> surface (bgs) Twenty vapor extraction wells (VW-1 through VW-20) were installed in selected borings <br /> Pinnacle Environmental Solutions, Inc submitted a request for "No Further Action" to the RWQCB on <br /> February 1, 2000 The RWQCB denied the request, and requested a groundwater investigation <br /> One soil boring (13-32) was drilled at the site to a depth of approximately 200 feet bgs in August 2000 <br /> Groundwater monitoring well MW-1 was installed in this boring to a depth of approximately 115 feet bgs <br /> Following construction of the well, free product was observed in the well Floating product has been 1 <br /> removed manually from the well on a weekly basis since September 2000 <br /> Following a meeting between the RWQCB, San Joaquin County PHSIEHD, and ARCO on January 10, <br /> 2001, Delta submitted a work plan for additional assessment of subsurface conditions beneath the subject <br /> site Delta retained Western Strata Exploration of West Sacramento to complete the work activities in <br /> August and September, 2001 <br /> WORK PERFORMED THIS QUARTER (Fourth, 2001) <br /> 1 Delta visaed the site weekly to remove floating product from well MW-1 <br /> 2 Delta monitored select vapor extraction and monitoring wells for the presence of water and free <br /> product Wells MW-2, VW-5, and VW-6 were sampled on November 6, 2001 <br /> 3 Delta sampled the onsite water supply well on November 12, 2001 <br /> WORK PROPOSED FOR NEXT QUARTER (First, 2002) <br /> 1 Delta will continue to remove floating product from well MW-1 on a weekly basis, monitor free <br /> product thickness in selected wells, and remove floating product when necessary <br /> 2 Delta will continue to monitor depth-to-water in selected vapor extraction and monitoring wells <br /> P 1ARCO161001QTRLY120011Arco_6100_4Q01 doc Delta <br />
