WORK PERFORMED THIS QUARTER(Third 2005)
<br /> 1 Stratus monitored all vapor extraction and monitoring wells for the presence of water and free
<br /> product on September 19, 2005 Groundwater samples were collected from wells MW-2, MW-4,
<br /> MW-8, MW-9, MW-10, MW-12, MW-13, VW-2, VW-3, VW-5, VW-6, VW-14, and the domestic well
<br /> Wells MW-1, and MW-15 had free product and were not sampled Wells VW-1 and VW-4 had a
<br /> product sheen and were not sampled
<br /> 2 Stratus coordinated and conducted the start-up of a Solleco 500 cfm thermal oxidizer in the
<br /> presence of San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District(SJVAPCD) personnel
<br /> 3 Stratus conducted nine site visits to conduct routine operation and maintenance, and to collect the
<br /> required discharge compliance air samples from the SVE system Free product, if measured, was
<br /> also manually bailed during these site visits
<br /> 4 During the quarter, Stratus bailed approximately 2 gallons of product/water mixture from MWA,
<br /> approximately 8 gallons from well MW-15, approximately 3 gallons from well VW-1, and
<br /> approximately 2 gallons from well VW-4
<br /> 5 The SVE system was shutdown on September 19, 2005, due to a potential bearing malfunction In
<br /> the liquid ring blower
<br /> 6 Stratus compiled and evaluated the monitoring and sampling data
<br /> 7 Stratus prepared and submitted an Additional Site Assessment Work Plan on September 21, 2005
<br /> This work plan was prepared in response to a request for additional site assessment by SJCEHD in
<br /> • a letter dated August 11, 2005
<br /> WORK PROPOSED FOR NEXT QUARTER (Fourth 2005)
<br /> 1 Stratus will continue to monitor for free product periodically, and if present, bail floating product from
<br /> wells MWA, MW-15, VW-1, and VW-4
<br /> 2 The next sampling event is tentatively scheduled for December 2005 Groundwater samples will be
<br /> analyzed for gasoline range organics (GRO), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX),
<br /> tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl
<br /> tertiary butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME), 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA),
<br /> 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB), and ethanol using USEPA Method 8260B
<br /> 3 Stratus will coordinate with the SVE system manufacturer to troubleshoot the liquid ring blower The
<br /> SVE system will be re-started upon successful resolution of the bearing malfunction
<br /> 4 Subsequent to re-start of the SVE system, Stratus will conduct bi-monthly site visits to monitor
<br /> system performance, maintain equipment, and to collect compliance samples from the SVE system
<br /> 5 Stratus will initiate activltes outlined In the September 21, 2005 work plan
