SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION SYSTEM
The SVE system has,not been sampled since December 19, 2002. The system was shut down on January
31, 2003, to allow modifications to the system and property development. SJEHD approved a remedial
action plan for upgrading the system and installing a groundwater pump and treat system that will operate
in tandem with the upgraded SVE system. Please reference the following section for additional
information regarding the anticipated remediation.
18, 2002, for the site. The CAP recommended preparation of a Remedial Action Plan (RAP) to describe
the proposed remediation design. Condor prepared the RAP dated March 3, 2003 and submitted it to the
SJCEHD for approval. In a letter slated October 17, 2003, SJCEHD approved the RAP submitted by
Condor dated March 3, 2003. Condor is currently conducting project planning/coordination/permitting
activities associated with the remediation and anticipates starting the fieldwork in early spring 2004. The
next quarterly groundwater monitoring event is scheduled for January 2004 and will include sampling of
• the quarterly sampled monitor wells (MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, MW-9, MW-11, and MW-12D) and
soil vapor extraction well SV4.
