I <br />' REPORT <br /> QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> FIRST QUARTER - JANUARY 1997 <br />' Canepa's Car Wash <br /> 6230 Pacific Avenue <br />' Stockton, California <br />' January 27, 1997 <br /> I10 INTRODUCTION <br /> Condor Earth Technologies, Inc , (Condor) performed quarterly groundwater monitoring at the <br /> Canepa's Car Wash facility located at 6230 Pacific Avenue in Stockton, California (Figure 1, <br /> Appendix A) on January 15 and 16, 1997 The groundwater monitoring was performed at the request <br /> of Mr Remo Canepa, facility owner, in response to a recent communication from Mr Ronald Rowe of <br />' the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHID) directing <br /> continuation of the quarterly groundwater monitoring The groundwater samples were analyzed at a <br /> certified laboratory for total petroleum hydrocarbons, quantified as gasoline (TPI -G), for benzene, <br /> I toluene, ethyl benzene, and xylene (BTEX), and for methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) as requested <br /> by the PHS/EHD <br /> lie <br /> This report includes a description of the field procedures and laboratory analyses conducted <br /> during the January, 1997, quarterly monitoring A discussion of the current and historical groundwater <br /> data is presented in Section 5 0 (Discussion of Results) <br /> 2 0 SUMMARY OF RESULTS <br /> The following summary describes the data collected during the most recent quarterly <br /> monitoring <br /> • Groundwater Analvses Gasoline was detected in the groundwater samples from MW- <br /> I at 6 5 mg/L, MW-2 at 16 mg/L, and SV-1 at 120 mg/L BTEX constituents were <br /> detected in groundwater samples from MW-1, MW-2, MW-7 and SV-1 ranging from <br /> I 3 6 µg/L to 41,000 µg/L MTBE was detected in groundwater samples from MW-1 at <br /> I 10 µg/L, MW-2 at 60 µg/L, MW-3 at 12 dig/L, and SV-1 at 1,400 ttg/L TPH-G <br /> was not detected at or above the reported laboratory detection limit in the groundwater <br /> I samples collected from MW-3, MW-4, MW-5, MW-6, MW-7, or MW-8 BTEX <br />■ 4017tSLElUe11t5 wGle 110t de-MUCLl dL Ur dbove the MPUrLCd 1dUUrdLUry UCLCL.L1011 1imiLb in <br /> groundwater samples collected from MW-3, MW-4, MW-5, MW-6, and MW-8 <br /> MTBE was not detected at or above the laboratory reported detection limit in <br /> groundwater samples collected from MW-4, MW-5, MW-6, MW-7, or MW-8 The <br /> laboratory results are presented in Section 4 2, Table 1 and Figure 2, Appendix A <br /> • Groundwater Elevation The depth to groundwater was approximately 42 feet below <br /> the ground surface at the site The groundwater elevation ranged from 29 66 to 28 65 <br /> feet below sea level (bmsl) Groundwater elevation contours are shown in Figure 3, <br /> Appendix A <br /> 1 1 <br /> I �i� CONDOR <br />
