REPORT <br /> QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> THIRD QUARTER - AUGUST 1996 <br /> Canepa's Car Wash <br /> 6230 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br />' September 11, 1996 <br />' 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Condor Earth Technologies, Inc , (Condor) performed quarterly groundwater monitoring at the <br />' Canepa's Car Wash facility located at 6230 Pacific Avenue in Stockton, California (Figure 1, <br /> Appendix A) on August 1, 1996 The groundwater monitoring was performed at the request of Mr <br /> Remo Canepa, facility owner, in response to a recent communication from Mr Ronald Rowe of the <br />' San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/El-ID) directing <br /> continuation of the quarterly groundwater monitoring The groundwater samples were analyzed at a <br /> certified laboratory for total petroleum hydrocarbons, quantified as gasoline (TPH-G), for benzene, <br />' toluene, ethyl benzene, and xylene (BTEX), and for methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) as requested <br /> by the PHS/EHD <br /> This report includes a description of the field procedures and laboratory analyses conducted <br /> during the August, 1996, quarterly monitoring A discussion of the current and historical groundwater <br /> data is presented in Section 5 0 (Discussion of Results) <br /> 2 0 SUMMARY OF RESULTS <br />' The following sumrnary describes the data collected during the most recent quarterly <br /> monitoring <br />' Groundwater Analyses Gasoline was detected in the groundwater samples from MW- <br /> 1 at 14 mg/L, MW-2 at 71 mg/L, MW-6 at 0 18 mg/L, and SV-7 at 360 mg/L BTEX <br /> constituents were detected in groundwater samples from MW-1, MW-2, MW-6, MW- <br /> 7, and SV-7 ranging from 0 9 gg/L to 91,000 µg/l- MTBE was detected in <br /> groundwater samples from MW-1 at 480 µg/L, MW-3 at 18 µg/L, and SV-7 at 7,800 <br /> µg/L TPH-G was not detected at or above the reported laboratory detection limit in <br />' the groundwater samples collected from MW-3, MW-4, MW-5, MW-7, or MW-8 <br />■ <br /> BTEX EX constituents were not aetectea at or above the reporie❑ laboratory ue m uon <br /> limits in groundwater samples collected from MW-3, MW-4, MW-5, or MW-8 <br />' MTBE was not detected at or above the laboratory reported detection limit in <br /> groundwater samples collected from MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, MW-5, MW-6, MW-7, or <br /> MW-8 The laboratory results are presented in Section 4 2, Table 1, and Figure 2 <br /> Appendix A <br /> • Groundwater Elevation rhe depth to groundwater was approximately 44 feet below <br />' the ground surface at the site The groundwater eievation ranged from 31 44 to 30 37 <br /> feet below sea level (bmsl) Groundwater elevation contours are shown in Figu , <br /> Appendix A <br />' ilk CONDOR <br />
