QUARTERLY MONITORING REPORT AUGUST 1996 CANEPA'S CAR WASH 6230 Pacific Avenue Stockton CA ' September 11 1996 lower than in previous monitoring events This cannot necessarily be attributed to natural attenuation ' because the water level in the all of the wells was above the top of the well screens Monitor wells MW-3, MW-4, MW-5, and MW-8 did not have a detection of TPH-G or BTEX at or above the laboratory reported detection limits This is the first time a sample from each of those wells has not had a detection of either TPH-G or BTEX (or both) Because the August, 1996, groundwater ' sampling was the first event that MTBE was analyzed for and the first time that SV-7 was sampled, historical comparison for MTBE at the site and for SV-7 is not possible The historical groundwater analytical data for the site are presented in Table A, Appendix B Floating product was not observed in any of the wells during the August, 1996, quarterly ' sampling Gasoline odors were noted in MW-1, MW-2, MW-6, and SV-7 Floating product has not been reported in previous groundwater monitoring from June, 1994, through June, 1995 ISince the June, 1995, quarterly monitoring, the elevation of the water table has increased approximately 5 feet During the past two (2) years, the depth to groundwater at the site has ranged from approximately 51 feet to 44 feet bgs The groundwater elevation contour map (Figure 3, Appendix A) indicates groundwater mounding in the center of the site around MW-1 This is generally consistent with previous monitoring results Attempts have been made in previous monitoring reports to explain this apparent local recharge with a potentially leaky sewer line Hydrographs of monitor wells MW-1 through MW-8, presented in Figure 4, Appendix A, illustrate the fluctuation of the groundwater table Historical groundwater measurements are provided in the Iaccompanying Hydrograph Table The next quarterly monitoring event Is scheduled for November, 1996 If you need additional information or have any questions, please contact us at (209) 668-9234 Respectfully submitted Condor Earth Technologies, Inc Ftn No 51592 � � Exp 6-30-98 � Donald F Kresse Robert J Job, P E California Registered California RegisteredCIV4L Geologist #6430 Professional Engineer, Civil #51592 CANS QT 96 Page -5- ItJ CONDOR
