The purpose of the addendum is to detail the investigative work to be conducted
! iI during the soil vapor extraction (SVE) system evaluation. The following work will be completed
I
j ' during the site evaluation:
I 1) Explore the condition of all SVE wells at the site by evaluating each well for the
presence or absence of groundwater in or above the screened interval including
measurements of depth to groundwater and the total depth of casing.
2) Calculate the volume of soil in the treatment area, including mass volume of
R
hydrocarbons based on existing soil boring data.
I
3) Determine the maximum flow rate and vacuum rating of the blower motor, including
type (i.e., rotary, regenerative, etc.).
j 4) Describe all instrumentation currently available or necessary in the testing an
operational phases for the SVE system. p
II
q 5) Calculate the radius of influence and pole volume exchange rates which may support
these values.
1
i
ENVIRONMENTAL GEOLOGICAL • ENGINEERING GEOTECHNICAL
i
0.
