(CHES) appreciates the opportunity to assist you with your
clean-up efforts at above referenced site. Chronology of events is as follows.
7/29/04:
Clean Harbors mobilized to the site at 0500 hrs. Upon arriving to the site Clean Harbors foreman, Dan
Opolentisima meets with Keith Bardney to discuss clean-up requirements. Upon receiving instructions,
Clean Harbors triple-rinsed and neutralized contaminated areas located in the storm water trough, tank
secondary containment area and inside of the tanks. At 1600 hrs Clean Harbors crew left the site.
7/30/04:
Clean Harbors arrived to the site at 0600 hrs. Two secondary containment tank areas, tanks drain lines,
area adjacent to cooling tower and pump house were neutralized,triple-rinsed and rinseate vacuumed into
tanker truck. At 1600 hrs Clean Harbors crew left the site.
8/2/04:
Clean Harbors arrived to the site at 0530 hrs. One area in the pump house still reflected pH levels of
fourteen so the area was again neutralized and rinsed. Small hot spots were indicated in the tank area and
subsequently neutralized and vacuumed into the tanker. The vacuum tanker was overloaded with rinseate
so three hundred and fifty gallons were transferred into drums for proper transportation and disposal to
Clean Harbors, San Jose TSDF on manifest 23638443 and 23638444, respectively.
8/4/04:
Clean Harbors arrived to the site at 0800 Ins.
