Pie Charts Page 1 of 2
Raymond von Flue[EH]
From: Barber Cynthia[Cynthia.Barber@ us.hjheinz.comj
Sent: Wednesday,July 29,2009 12:01 PM
To: Raymond von Flue[EH]
Subject: RE:Photos from Hazardous Waste Inspection
Attachments:Stak-pak.jpg;Stak-pak_combos.jpg
Raymond,
Per our discussion we are going to do the following items:
1. Re-train Alex on procedures for Silver Nitrate(to be done this week) We will train him on Proper labeling,Safety,Wastewater rules,CUPA rules.
2. We use the Silver nitrate to test salt content on batches of ketchup,it goes into a titrator in extremely small amounts.
3. Recycle the captured silver in the Canisters separately from the recycled metal. We have been recycling the Steel wool with our other recycled
metals at Universal Service next door. The silver content is the only constituent. It is 0.1 percent when purchased. The captured silver is 2 oz.
4. We will put the steel wool canisters on a set schedule for recycle
5. We will review the Rotex silver recovery system to ensure it remains the best technology
6. We will do a TCLP on the interceptor.
7. We use 15 gallons of silver nitrate per year.
8. We have lab testing on water discharge after the Rotex on file for the City Wastewater,we plan to get this done again.
Please let me know if I missed anything, and THANKS for your help. Please stop by anytime and let me know if you want me to forward any of
these items as they are done.
From: Raymond von Flue[EH] [mailto:rvonflue@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Monday,July 27,2009 3:25 PM
To: Barber Cynthia
Subject: Photos from Hazardous Waste Inspection
Cynthia,
Here are the photos from today's inspection.
Raymond von Fide
Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 E.Main St.
Stockton CA 95202
Voice:(209)468-9848
Fax:(209)468-3433
G
•
W.
Io:•rn w:-f.in.a.—t-I'm—o'k Ii ytanJinL Ynrib0itic....(rcntinl'lnlu lionr
This email and any attachments may contain private, confidential, and privileged material for the sole use of the intended recipient.Any
review, copying,or distribution of this email(or any attachments)by other than the intended recipient is strictly prohibited. If you are not
the intended recipient, please contact the sender immediately and permanently delete the original and any copies of this email and any
attachments.
This communication is intended for the use of the addressee
only and may contain information that is privileged or
confidential.
