In my letter I had proposed an additional <br /> year of monitoring at the site. I felt this was a middle ground between the County's request for addition site <br /> assessment and the recommendation by my staff that the subject site be closed. <br /> In view of your letter, 1 feel that it would be appropriate to have the State Water Resources Control Board <br /> (SWRCB)consider the matter at a public workshop. I intend to present a draft order proposed by SWRCB staff for <br /> adoption by the Board in response to the Unocal petitions and request for a stay. This will be presented at the <br /> SWRCB's November 3, 1999 workshop.
