CHRONOLOGY <br /> Former Unocal # 2859 <br /> 1665 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA <br /> 01/29/88 A pre-tank removal site assessment was conducted; five Geoprobe soil borings, <br /> (KB1 through KB5), were installed by Kleinfelder. See Soil Investigation Report <br /> dated March 3, 1998, available on microfiche. <br /> 03/08/88 Notification of Hazardous Waste Discharge #88-0029 and Unauthorized Release <br /> Report submitted this date. <br /> 03/29/88 Three underground storage tanks were removed this date under EHD permit and <br /> inspection; two 10,000-gallon unleaded gas and one 500-gallon waste oil tank. <br /> 03/30/88 Over-excavation of the west side of the former tank pit. The EHD inspector who <br /> witnessed the excavation noted approximately 80-100 yards of contaminated soil <br /> removed; area of re-excavation was —10' x 22' (smaller than the original <br /> excavated pit area), a soil sample was collected at 26' bsg. <br /> 06/01/88 Three soil borings were installed and converted to groundwater monitoring wells <br /> MW-1 through MW-3. See Applied GeoSystems' Subsurface Investigation Report <br /> dated December 12, 1990, available on microfiche. <br /> 08/21/89 Two groundwater monitoring wells, MW4 and MW-5 were installed. See Applied <br /> GeoSystems' December 12, 1990 report referenced above. <br /> 02/26/92 Three soil vapor extraction wells, VW-1, VW-2 and VW-3, and two monitoring <br /> wells, MW-6 and MW-7, were installed. See Resna's First Quarter 1992 <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Report dated May 6, 1992, available on Questys. <br /> 07/14/94 Two groundwater monitoring wells, MW-8 and MW-9, were installed. See Pacific <br /> Environmental Group's (PEG) Additional Soil & Groundwater Investigation <br /> Report dated October 4, 1994, available on Questys. <br /> 01/17/96 Source Test conducted on a soil vapor extraction (SVE) system, See PEG's <br /> Revised 1st Quarter 1996-Remedial Action Report dated April 18, 1996, available <br /> on Questys. <br /> 02/12/96 SVE remediation initiated; the system operated through November 1996. See <br /> PEG's Remedial Action Performance Reports, submitted throughout the year, <br /> available on Questys. <br /> 01/08/99 Monitoring well NP-1, and companion well MW-10, were installed this date. <br /> Groundwater samples were collected with a simulprobe.
