July 30, 1992 <br /> Former Unocal Station 2859, Stockton, California Working To Restore Nature <br /> • <br /> Sample Labeling and Handling <br /> Water samples were preserved in laboratory-cleaned, 40-milliliter glass vials that contained <br /> concentrated hydrochloric acid as a preservative The water samples were sealed with Teflon-lined <br /> • lids to eliminate air bubbles <br /> The sample containers were labeled in the field with the site identification, monitoring well number <br /> and depth, and date, and promptly placed in iced storage for transport to the laboratory The <br /> technician initiated Chain of Custody Records in the field that accompanied the samples to a <br /> laboratory certified by the State of California for the analyses requested Samples were transported <br /> to the laboratory promptly Samples in our custody were properly disposed of after their useful life <br /> had expired <br /> Ground-Water Well Surv� <br /> • <br /> Moldenhauer Engineering Company(Moldenhauer)of Davis,California(Registered Civil Engineer <br /> No 17381), surveyed the elevations and positions ("x" and "y" lateral coordinates) of the wellheads <br /> of monitoring wells MW-1 to MW-5 on September 21, 1989 Moldenhauer measured the <br /> monitoring wells with respect to the City of Stockton bench mark 2S-2 at the intersection of <br /> •� Harding Way and Pacific Avenue <br /> According to Moldenhauer personnel, Bench Mark 2S-2 is referenced to the United States <br /> Geodetic Survey with an elevation of 10 33 feet above mean sea level. The elevation of the <br /> monitoring wells were referenced to within 0 01 foot of Bench Mark 2S-2 The horizontal distances <br /> were measured to the nearest 0 1 foot The elevations were taken at a permanent notch or arrow <br /> on the well casing <br /> Tom Morrow, Inc (Morrow) of West Sacramento, California, a state-licensed land surveyor, <br /> surveyed the elevations and positions ("x" and "y" lateral coordinates) of the wellheads of <br /> monitoring wells MW-6 and MW-7 in March 1992 Morrow measured the monitoring wells with <br /> • respect to data obtained from the Moldenhauer survey <br /> • <br /> • <br /> . 0528bbou <br /> I+ 38012-9 <br /> • <br />
