INC.f <br /> (YETTLER - RYAN <br /> MONITORING WELL AND SPARGE POINT INSTALLATION REPORT <br /> at <br /> Former Unocal Service Station No 2859 <br /> 1665 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Report No 240072 06-1 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> This report presents the results of a subsurface investigation and remedial action performed by Gettler- <br /> Ryan Inc (GR) at the above referenced site The work was performed at the request of Union Oil <br /> Company of California (Unocal) to further delineate the extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons in <br /> groundwater in the vicinity of the subject site, and to install an ozone microsparging (C-SpargeTM) <br /> remedial system The scope of work performed included obtaining the required well installation permits <br /> from San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division (SJCPHS-EHD) and <br /> encroachment permit from the City of Stockton, updating the site safety plan, installing two groundwater <br /> monitoring wells, installing eight C-SpargeTm wells and supporting equipment, collecting soil samples <br /> from the monitoring well borings for description and possible chemical analysis, developing and <br /> sampling the newly installed monitoring wells, analyzing selected soil and groundwater samples, <br /> surveying new well head elevations and locations, and preparing a report documenting the work <br /> performed This work was requested by SJCPHS-EHD in a letter dated October 29, 2001 Work <br /> performed was proposed in GR's Work Plan For Additional Subsurface Assessment and Remedial Action <br /> (report #240072 06, dated December 11, 2001), and approved by SJCPHS-EHD in a letter dated <br /> December 27, 2001 <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The subject site is a vacant lot located on the southwest corner of Pacific Avenue and West Walnut Street <br /> in Stockton, California (Figure 1) Former facilities at the site consisted of a station building, one 550 <br /> gallon waste oil underground storage tank (UST), two dispenser islands, and two 10,000 gallon gasoline <br /> USTs that shared a common pit near the center of the site Locations of pertinent site features are shown <br /> on Figure 2 <br /> PREVIOUS ENVIRONMENTAL WORK <br /> Kleinfelder, Inc drilled soil borings KB-1 through KB-5 in January 1988 These borings were drilled <br /> around the gasoline UST complex, adjacent to the product dispenser islands, and adjacent to the waste oil <br /> UST The highest Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) concentrations were detected in <br /> 6747 Sierra Court , Suite J Dublin , California 94568 ( 925 ) 551 - 7555 <br />
