Soil and Water Disposal, Former Unocal Facility No. 2859, 1665 Pacific <br /> Avenue, Stockton, California. <br /> Dear Mr Boust <br /> Gettler-Ryan Inc (GR) has prepared this letter to document the disposal of soil and water <br /> generated during previous subsurface investigation work at the subject site On March 31, 1999, <br /> GR collected a composite soil sample, labeled Comp-S(DR)2, from ten drums of soil (drill <br /> cuttings) at the site All ten drums were labeled and dated as 1/7/1999 The composite soil <br /> sample consisted of four individual samples collected in two-inch diameter, clean brass tubes that <br /> were sealed with teflon-lined plastic caps and placed in an ice chest with blue ice for preservation <br /> The soil samples collected during this investigation were submitted under chain-of-custody to <br /> Sequoia Analytical Laboratory in Walnut Creek, California(ELAP #1271) <br /> Comp-S(DR)2 was analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) by <br /> Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 5030/8015 Modified, benzene, toluene, <br /> ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) by EPA Method 8020, methyl tert-butyl ether(MtBE) by EPA <br /> Method 8020, and total lead Analytical methods and results are summarized in Table 1 Copies <br /> of the laboratory analytical reports and chain-of-custody records are attached <br /> The ten drums of soil were profiled for disposal at Forward Incorporated's (Forward) Manteca, <br /> California Landfill, an approved Class II/I11 disposal facility Based on the concentrations of the <br /> constituents analyzed in Comp-S(DR)2, Forward issued approval number 825921 on April 13, <br /> 1999, for disposal of the ten drums of soil On April 16, 1999, Manley and Sons Trucking, Inc of <br /> Sacramento, California, removed the drums and 4 33 tons of soil from the site and transported <br /> them to Forward A copy of the soil disposal documentation is attached <br /> • 240072 01 <br /> 6747 Sierra Court , Suite J o Dublin , California 94568 0 ( 925 ) 551 - 7555 <br />
