After injection of the dye, AGE proposes to conduct ground water
pumping at MW-13B and MW-13C for approximately 3 to 4 hours a day for a period of 5 days
and to collect groundwater samples from MW-13 (A though C) on a daily basis for laboratory
analysis of RWT. At the conclusion of the five day test, MW-13A will be purged until the tracer
dye is no longer observed in the extracted water.
EHD approves of the WP; however, EHD recommends that in addition to the sampling proposed
after purging, samples should be collected daily before purging from MW-13B and MW 13C for
analysis. The CVRQCB is not requiring any Waste Discharge Requirements (WDRs) due to the
small amount of dye injected and limited extent of the test (per e-mail correspondence dated
November 28, 2007 from the CVRWQCB). EHD directs that the proposed test be implemented
by March 14, 2008. Please provide the EHD a minimum 48 hour notice prior to initiation of any
tests. Please contact Frank Girardi at(209) 953-7868 if you have any questions.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Healt—ft Department
Frank Girardi, Senior REHS Nuel C.
