Advanced
GeoEnvironmental, Inc. =oma
of Northern California
14 June 1996
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0173
Ms. Mary Meays
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY PHS-EHD
P.O. Box 388
Stockton,CA 95201-0388
Subject: Addendum to Work Plan, dated 18 October 1995
California Fuels Cardlock Station
2402 Pacific Avenue,Stockton,California
Dear Ms. Mcays:
On 12 March 1996, three 10,000 gallon underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the above
referenced site. Soil samples collected beneath tank#1 and tank#2 revealed substantial petroleum hydrocarbon
contamination at an approximate depth of 17 and 18 feet, respectively.
A Work Plan (dated 18 October 1995) was previously submitted to the San Joaquin County Public Health
Services-Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD)for this site. Because soil samples suggested substantial
petroleum hydrocarbons beneath UST Nos. 1 &2,we propose to advance six soil borings at the site. Depending
upon site conditions encountered in the field at the time of drilling, we propose that a maximum of four soil
borings be converted into ground water monitoring wells. Proposed soil boring and monitoring well locations are
depicted with Figure 2-Site Plan.
We have tentatively scheduled drilling activities for 18 & 19 June 1996. If you have any questions or require
further information, please contact our office at(209)956-0264.
Sincerely,
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
Timothy J.
