Scrap metal which is not recycled and is RCRA hazardous <br /> waste is fully regulated I believe some of the metal being recycled at your site <br /> contains lead and/or chr mium, RCRA hazardous wastes. <br /> I realize that in a lett r dated 3-26-10, James Stehr made a hazardous waste determination <br /> for the brake rotor meta shavings and determined that the shavings were non-hazardous <br /> waste. Be aware that th shavings may be "designated waste" which may limit landfill <br /> disposal to Class 2 land ills approved to accept designated waste of this type.
