QUARTERLY MONITORING PROCEDURES
21 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES
On 08 April 1998 the depth to ground water,,Nas measured in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-
9,VW-1,AW-I and AW-2 (the monitoring«ells) from the top of each respective well casing to the
nearest 0 01 foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter Ground water elevations from the monitoring
wells were calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed casing
elevations (Table 1) Ground water elevations with respect to mean sea level were plotted and
contoured on a scaled site map (Figure 3)
' After water levels were measured, approximately six to twenty gallons (a minimum of three well
volumes per well) of water were purged from the monitoring wells utilizing a two-stage submersible
pump An ICM Model 52200 water analyzer was utilized to monitor temperature, pH and
condiictivity of purged water at _regular purge volumes Dissolved oxygen content in the final purge
water was measured using a YSI Model 55 Dissolved Oxygen Meter following stabilization of the
produced water Stabilization data and field logs are included with Appendix A, dissolved oxygen
field measurements are summarized in Table 2 Purged ground water was containerized in 55-gallon
drums and stored on-site in an area lacking general public access
.4dâ–ºanced GtoEnrironmcntal,lnc
